Some problems are not
easily dealt with in the context of a class setting.
House
training,
aggression
issues, or
separation
anxiety are examples
of problems that are often more productively addressed in a one on
one session and often in a home setting.
We will provide
one on
one training at the Humane Society training
facility or we
offer personal training in
your own home and
work with your family and dog to develop a personal plan that will
put your lives back on track. For particularly challenging
problems, we may sometimes suggest you bring your dog to us and we
will work with the dog at our farm with the help of our resident
dog pack.
Board
with Training. In
addition, if you would like your dog to receive some basic training
while you are away on vacation we do offer a training package in
conjunction with the Humane Society
boarding
services.

We
offer private dog training services in the communities of
Dartmouth, Fall River, Fairhaven, Westport, New Bedford, Little
Compton, Mattapoisett, Marion, Freetown & environs. One day
each week we are also in the Boston and Cambridge area for private
dog training consultations.

Social
Hour for your Dog Friendly Dog. It is difficult for most of us to
make sure our dogs get enough exercise. Dog play is one of the best
ways to burn off excess energy. Every Sunday, as long as the
weather cooperates, we offer doggy social
hours in our large enclosed field near the Demarest Lloyd State
Park.
During the winter, we are holding social hour at 31 Ventura Drive.
This is not the same as being in the great outdoors, but it beats
sitting around the house staring out the window at the snow!
The cost is $10/session or $40 for a five pack!
Please note, we want this to be a fun and low stress play group.
Every dog must be registered and approved before joining a group.
Our social hours are open only to Highland Obedience clients who
have taken at least one class with us. If your dog is a little
"tricky" with other dogs, we may be able to offer some one
on one time in the afternoons with specific dogs but this must be
specially arranged and the fee is assessed on an individual
basis.

photos!
